IM BACK FROM CAMP!

hahas yeah and im gonna post about it cos i know Adelyn cant wait to hear all abt it, right? Actually i didnt want to post at first cos there's just too many things to mention but then again, for Adelyn's[u shld be honored;D] sake and also because this will be the only camp we'll have with our sec3 seniors which makes it more memorable i guess.

From my last post, i dont sound that enthu abt camp. But that was cos of HUIBAO. And ppl keep asking what's huibao so uh huh i'll explain then. 汇报's an annual event of CO camp. Purpose is to showcase what we've learnt in the year to the whole orchestra, which means, we have to play a piece of 曲子 individually or in groups in front of CO.
Yes, that's what makes it scary.

I mean NYCO's pretty big, though im not sure of the exact no. of ppl, but still, BIG.

Anws, back to camp.

First day
Dazu in the morning as usual, except the room was super crammed with humans, luggages and instrus. 练-ed 第一二胡狂想曲 and 太阳. I totally didnt understand what' going on during 第一二胡狂想曲. The person who copied 中音笙's score confused it with 次中音笙's score so most parts were wrong. Plus, 第一二胡狂想曲 changes 调s a lot which makes it harder to understand for me cos my 反应 very 迟钝. So i had to transpose it to C Major with Lisa's help.
Lols i think ppl who doesnt learn music totally have no idea what im talking abt. I dont understand sometimes eitherx)

Lunch was..NASI LEMAK[the rice was hard:/] i think.

Xiaozu: Linlao didnt come again so we lian-ed our huibao's song. Me&Lisa were huibao-ing together 游击队歌. But we couldnt really practice thanks to our dearest HuiPin who toppled over Lisa's sheng during the last xiaozu before camp so her sheng's lowest octaves notes had problem and either produced no sound or fuzzy sounds. Some random HCI guy already toppled it over once when the sheng was just bought. And Linlao didnt come so he cant repair it. :/

And cos im doing the intro for the huibao song we're playing, Lisa had to do the intro of our intrus, 中音笙 and 高音笙 which Mrs Ee. wants us to do so i came up with a script last-min.
Activity 1 screening: Went M3-0sth. We listened to the recordings of CO songs and watched some video recordings too. Mrs Ee. played the recording of a lady who plays 唢呐 super well, of her using the 呐子 and only her own 气 to produce the different notes. Sounds cute to me:)

Huibao: Screening delayed huibao which still went on. I think ours was screwed. Big-time. Lisa forgot her speech and i cldnt rmb hers well either but cos she cldnt continue on, I just crapped. Okay not really crap, said parts from the original script and sort of jumbled up the order of the points. My voice was kinda shaky i think.
NERVOUSNESS!
We didnt even play as well as when we practise! According to Chinsian, it's super obvious that Lisa didnt play but she cant help it anws so i kinda solo-ed most parts. And my hands were shaking too. My 拍子 wasnt 稳 and i totally ignored the dynamics:x Without Lisa playing, it doesnt sound as nice because i played only the upper notes and i wld have been more certain with her playing.
Rahh-wdv, it's over at least;D

Suonas were supposed to huibao on the first day too but they got lucky cos there wasnt enough time. Everyone from shengsuo went to have dinner first after huibao except for me,lisa,jessy&huipin. We went to shower first.

Dinner: Vegetable rice lols mine had super lots of veggie which i didnt finish hahas.

Nightwalk: hahahaaa what we've been looking forward to! Roaming around the sch in the dark! Negative side: I wasnt in the same grp as Huipin, Jessy & Lisa): I was in the same grp as Tammy though but i practically said nothing to her throughout the nightwalk. Huipin! U shld have joined my grp to pei wo! Plus Tammy's ur senior so at least ure closer to her! Gah. Oh well, still, i know someone else whom i can talk to from my grp-Xiongyue! There were lots of stations and im too lazy to go into details but nightwalk was overall, fun!

CO bonding: Played Wacko! Its like siao, super many ppl. We cld only call ppl from other sections and not from our own batch. I only got called upon once so nvm hahas. We realised Jasmine and Tammy are vy popular. They kept getting called upon!

We played another game-Mafia[is that how it's spelt?] and doctors. Reminds me of Murderers and Detectives. Both are similar in some ways. I was tapped to be doctor in the first round and mafia in the second. hahas killed a few humans. Funnily enough, first round huipin was mafia and second she also got tapped to be doctor! And it just so happned that in the 3rd round of being mafia, i killed Queenie and in that same round, she cured Queenie! hahaha but i still prefer murderers and dectectives-101's fav. game!

Lights out: at around 12 midnight. Slept in m4-03, SE room. Cldnt fall aslp immediately so me&huipin talked in super soft whisper.

Second day
Woke up around 7am. Laze around. Me&HuiPin started guessing which senior wld wake up first. hahas just as we predicted!:D Washed up and breakfast-ed. The milo packets Chinsian boughtbrought were super small kiddy size can! hahas the seniors were lazy to go back m4 take spreader so Jasmine used the plastic thinggy used to tie the pack of bread to spread and Chinsian used the bread. LOL! Zhuoda went to get instead.

Felt super sleepy during dazu. Ughh- cld hardly open my eyes!

Lunch was chicken rice! I accidentally poured the whole packet of chilli sauce into my rice. Normally i can take spicy food well but that was a bit too spicy or sth.

Linlao finally came for xiaozu. But he was late. We lianned 第一二胡狂想曲. Super luan. As in im hte one who's luan. At first i was using zhongyinsheng's score then linlao said the person mixed cizhongyinsheng's and zhongying sheng's score up totally, so changed to cizhongyinsheng's score. Then its still wrong so change back again ._. Lisa had to play cizhongyinsheng instead. The keys are completely different from zhongyinsheng, poor thing.

Mrs Ee. came at the end of our xiaozu. Linlao told her that we have to send some shengs for maintenance-Lisa's and the cizhongyinsheng. But the thing was CO no $$ le hahas. Kinda wasting money cos Lisa's sheng is new, bought this yr but needs maintenance le. Then Linlao showed Mrs Ee. the nazi thinggy. Sounds really funny. And there's this amplifier which looks like the bell of suona.

Went back M4-01 for huibao. Suona seniors' senior, Xiaohong, came back for the "Grand dinner". According to Jessy, she thought my name was Xiaohai at first. LOL.
M4-01 was super packed. And huibao was super long. Hahaha on second thoughts, it's better to present huibao on first day than second day cos second day there were seniors watching(((:

After everyone huibao-ed, Mrs Ee. told us her comments on every single huibao. She nearly forgot abt Lisa's and mine. She asked who was it that didnt play most of the time. But then, cant be helped since Lisa's sheng is faulty. It had sounded better the previous time she heard us when Lisa's sheng was okay. And our last note was too short as though we cldnt wait to finish playing the piece hahah;D

Went down to the first floor locker room to shower. End up me&huipin showered at the staff toilet next door. But we were all still late for the "Grand dinner"-buffet:D The queue for food was super uber long. Then there was a crisis: the cutleries ran out. So we had to wait again. But overall the food was とってもおいしいね. And the past recordings of the pieces NYCO performed were played. Then the photo montage was screened! hahas kinda fun to see some of our seniors' faces;D

After that while the seniors were talking to their seniors, me,huipin,lisa and jessy were stoning around and started crapping. So i was like saying that in the yr 2003, there was SYF competition for pri sch. Random(: Then Lisa and Huipin started arguing with me. Cos by right, SYF is held on alt. yrs for pri and sec schs. And for pri sch, its the even no. yrs. But the thing was i rmbed clearly that there was SYF central judging for pri sch in 2003 and they held it once again in 2004. Those were the only two consecutive yrs that SYF was held. And i was very sure. So Huipin was like "what if ure wrong?". Im sure im not wrong. Then "okay if ure wrong, then u have to go on a date with a guy from HCI.."
?!
Siao luhs. We were only talking randomly. But Huipin, as usual, has her weird ideas. So thinking she's only joking, i said okay, only if she sponsor. And Huipin was like so serious and started asking, "what type of guys u want then? There's a lot for u to chose. Tall, short, skinny, fat, handsome, smart, atheletic.."
I really thought she was joking so i started listing my criterias, "hmm, tall but not too tall, handsome but not too handsome. smart but not too smart... " with sarcasm. ahahahs and the list went on with each criteria ending with but not too ___ so the three of them kept ending the sentence for me. But it got kind of absurd when i said friendly, and they went, "but not oo friendly.." >< Hello? How can someone be too friendly? Wdv, it' all a joke anws.
LOL and i called Gongyuan to come over cos she's like so lonely, but we frightened her or sth cos when she was near us we all tried to grab her. hahahaa she's the so-called kindergarten kid with the brain of a professor!
Xiaohong and the seniors came over after a while and Xiaohong said hi to us but we were like -silent- :x She's friendly but we were urm..shy? hahas she forgot Huipin's name but Jasmine prompted her. FUNNY!:D
After that we send the seniors' seniors off and took lift up.
CO talk: Lasted for like 15min? Talk abt concert at SCH next yr etc.
Sectional bonding: Seniors were playing taiti and we were watching while Huipin still crazy, continued to draw her super-detailed yangqin. Then 三缺一 so i joined in. We played like 4 or 5 rounds and i won at least 3 rounds;D yay me! hahas and i didnt lose the other 2 rounds either(: Then Huipin played Bridge with them. FUNNYYYYYYY- Jasmine kind of blur cos she forgot how to play. It's hilarious to watch hahahaaa:D
Played another round of taiti with Lixian, Huiying and Qianling. WonxD
Seniors went crazy after that. They were claiming, "Shengsuos are the only ones in m4! yay we've conquered the whole room to ourselves" or sth. *CHEERS*! LOL.
Lights out: 11.45pm. Continued to crap with Huipin. Huipin IS MAD! As in crazy kind of mad! She actually showed me the sms she's gonna send to her HCI friend which was sth like this:Can u go on a date with my friend. She wants to date u!

wth? I sincerely hope GohHuiPin is joking, or plainly out of her mind and that she did not send that sms to all her HCI friends. ya luhs, i know u know a lot of HCI guys can? Dont try to sabo me okay?
